Start of Summer

The month of June was busy for us...and yet it seems that we had lots of long, hot, drag-on-forever days.

The boys were entertained some by discovering their first creature in our flower bed:

This kept them busy for a few days searching each morning for their turtle...the bad part is that they tore up the landscaping hitting at every bush and plant with a stick.

And as the boys found a turtle, Ellen discovered her love for a Cricket. 

I have not played with it yet but I am amazed at all the cute things she has been making for us and for her friends and team.

Ellen also fell in love with her dream college after she toured it.  She came home so excited that we immediately but a logo hoodie...isn't that what you are supposed to do?

The biggest thing of the month was getting our playhouse moved to the shaded part of the yard and adding a new room to our house.  This cozy little area will be perfect for when Ellen has friends over or eventually could be an office for us.

Hoping July sends a vacation our way...and hopefully some place cooler!
